Mental Health Event

Dear MDBC members,

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), globally, an estimated 12 billion working days are lost every year to poor mental health. But there are effective actions to prevent mental health risks at work, protect and promote mental health at work, and support workers with mental health conditions. All workers have the right to a safe and healthy environment at work. Safe and healthy working environments minimize tension and conflicts at work and improve staff retention, work performance, and productivity. So in conjunction with World Mental Health Day, join us to learn more about holistic approaches to mental health, discover your personal strengths, and find out what psychological safety entails.

Dr. Karin van Zuilen: Expert in Employee Engagement and Organizational Change.  Karin is a seasoned consultant and executive coach, helping companies stand out in the market while driving employee engagement.  With thirty plus years in the pharmaceutical and consumer health industries, Karin has led successful business strategies and product launches, achieving top market positions globally.

Her deep expertise in change management and holistic psychology uniquely equips her to inspire teams and align them with organizational goals.  Through Senz Strategy Consulting, Karin delivers practical strategies that go beyond traditional engagement, empowering leaders to motivate and transform their teams for lasting success.

Adrian started his career in marketing and sales, taking up general management and regional sales for an MNC. Adrian’s passion for design thinking and executive coaching is palpable. He embraced design thinking, found it a powerful tool, and transitioned his career into consulting, wanting to make a meaningful impact on organizations and business leaders. His growth mindset and innovative spirit fuel his advocacy for leading, building, and achieving outcome – focused results.

Adrian’s specialty in executive coaching is growth mindsets, creating impact, agility, change management, and organizational transformation. He is most passionate about performance and developing effective leadership. He brings the experience to push leaders to think outside the box and implement change.

Jackie Mah (Executive VIce President, Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM))

Jackie supports the strategic and operational efforts of ICDM.  Her breadth of experience includes financial management, strategic planning, information technology, HR, business development, marketing, and communication, where she has led key projects at the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Foundation globally.

In her current role, she is committed to achieving higher operational efficiency, as well as fostering greater outreach and sustainable business growth both locally and regionally – through strategic partnerships, sound digital & communication strategies, and brand differentiation for ICDM’s training and advisory framework. Her latest interest is in the field of sustainability, having completed the ESG Competent Boards Program and is currently responsible in developing sustainability programs and ESG integration across ICDM’s services for board and C – suites. Jackie is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
