Datuk Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin made history by becoming the first woman to be appointed as the Director – General of Customs.  Anis Rizana, 54, was previously the Deputy Secretary – General of the Treasury (Investment) at the Ministry of Finance and has extensive experience in various fields including import-export investment, policy research and development, economics, management, and finance.  Anis Rizana has served in the public service for 29 years with her first position held as Assistant Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance in 1994.  She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University, United States and a Master of Business Administration degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
